Dogs are very playful creatures, they can spend hours chewing on the same bone or running around the yard after the same ball. Every dog will have their favourite toy, so you may have to try a few out before they decide which they like best. Here is our list of 10 dog toys that dogs of all different shapes and sizes will love.

10. OutWard Hound Hide A Squirrel Plug Dog Toys

The Hide A Squirrel plush toy is great for all dogs, it comes in different sizes to accommodate your pooch and can provide them with hours of fun. All you have to do is stuff the plush squirrels into the holes of the plush tree trunk and your dog will instantly try to sniff them out. This is a great toy for your dog to exercise its instincts to hunt and capture, but without the mess. Once they have removed the squirrels from the trunk you just stuff them back in again and they start over. These are affordable and fun toys that will entertain you and your dog.

9. Kong Dog Goodie Bone Red

Kong makes some really great products for pets; a couple of them have made it onto our list. The Goodie Bone is great for dogs that like to chew. If your dog is an aggressive chewer I wouldn’t recommend this bone, but if your dog is a moderate chewer who likes to work for a treat this is a great option. You can put all kinds of treats into the end of the bone and keep your dog busy for long periods of time.

8. Nylabone Dura Chew Bacon Flavored Double Action Bone

The Nylabone brand has a lot of great bone options for dogs of all breeds and sizes. If you have an aggressive or powerful chewer, these are the bones for you. The Dura Chew line offers durable, yet soft options for your dog’s chewing needs. Make sure to read the packaging and get the right sized bone for your dog. The bone will freshen your dog’s breath while helping clean their teeth and massaging their gums.

7. Zanies Cotton Knotted Rope Bone Dog Toy

Dogs like to chew on things; Zanies Cotton Knotted Rope Bone is probably preferred to your shoes or furniture. The rope can be used as a chew toy for your dog, but it also a great toy for throwing. Your dog will love chasing after the rope and its soft exterior isn’t too hard on their mouths when catching.

6. Tuffy Ultimates Gear Ring Dog Toys

The great thing about this toy is that it is pretty versatile and it is made to last. You can use it as a Frisbee to play fetch with your dog and it can also be used as a tug toy. It is soft, durable and it squeaks so your dog will get plenty of enjoyment from it. If this toy starts to get dirty, you can always throw it in the washing machine and it’s good to go.

5. Kong Squeezz Ball Dog Toys

Sometimes your dog just needs a good ball to play with, whether it’s for playing fetch or just for them to play around with and chew, the KONG Squeezz balls are great. The ball squeaks, which your dog will love and the squeaker is protected so that your dog can’t chew it out. This is a tough, durable ball that will entertain your dog all day long.

4. Ducksworth Large Yellow Duck Dog Toys

I love this toy, it is cute and cuddly and your dog, no matter the size, will love it. I wouldn’t recommend this guy for the aggressive dog that has a powerful chew, it won’t last very long. Small and mild dogs will love this toy. You can play fetch with it or just let them chew and play with it. Also there is nothing cuter than seeing your dog cuddle up with a cute, yellow duck!

3. Kong Classic Dog Toys

The Classic KONG is great for just about any dog. It is tough and should last a long time if your dog is not an overly aggressive chewer. The hole in the middle of the toy is great for hiding treats and your dog can spend ages trying to get them out. It works as a great distraction tool if you are leaving the house and your dog suffers from separation anxiety, just stuff a few treats in the hole and your dog probably won’t even notice you leave. The KONG comes in multiple sizes, so pick the one that works best for your dog.

2. Chuckit! Classic 26m Launcher

Dogs are active pets and they love to play. Making sure your dog is getting enough exercise is an important part of owning a pet. Dogs, like humans, can get bored and when they get bored they get into trouble. A great way to avoid boredom is taking them out to play. The Chuckit Launcher is one of my favourite toys. We take it to the park and launch the ball across the field and the dog loves it. It allows the dog to run off all of its extra energy and when we get home he crashes. It is a lot more satisfying for your dog to be tired from plenty of exercise instead of boredom. Grab a Chuckit and take your dog out to play.

1. Kong Tuffa Wubba Dog Toys

This is a great toy for tugging, throwing and chewing. It combines all of the things that dogs love to do. It is durable and made of soft enough materials that it isn’t too harsh on your dog’s mouth. The Tugga Wubba is an easy choice for playful dogs.
